Sunday Funday Brunch recipe find: Fresh from Florida Watermelon Gimlet

Happy Sunday, Pinesmoke fam!

We’re assuming you’re as big a fan of brunch as we are. The folks at Fresh from Florida have come up with a perfect Florida summer twist on the mid-twentieth century lime & gin-based cocktail known as the Gimlet to add to your next late morning meal.

As if adding seasonal Florida watermelon to the lime & Florida gin beverage wasn’t delightful enough, we decided to tweak things further by swapping to Key lime for juicing and subbing a honey simple syrup for the traditional simple sugar syrup. If you can’t find Old St. Pete gin, St. Augustine Distillery has a very nice gin as well. You could even skip the spirit for a refreshing mocktail.
